ToP Tunniste offers a variety of different devices for reading and writing NFC (Near Field Communication) tags. These products are either suitable to use separately or as part of another device or system. All NFC devices by ToP Tunniste can both read and write if not otherwise mentioned.
NFC reader devices give comprehencive possibilities to develop own Near Field Communication solutions and services on several platforms. Depending the device model the RFId reader/writer can be connected or integrated as part of another solution or system.

ToP Encoder NFC is the handy tool for reading, writing and scanning NFC compatible tags. The version family 2 of this tool tool includes CPR40-30-USB reader/writer device and Windows software with easy to use user interface.
This tool can be used to read and write NFC tags, to write protect the tags and also to scan unique identification numbers (UID) of tags to file.
Tool reads and writes NFC Forum NDEF formatted URI links. ToP Encoder NFC can be used e.g. to write NFC compatible web, phone call and SMS shortcuts e.g for Nokia NFC enabed mobile phones. You can also write external RTDs to launch own Midlets. vCard feature allows to write business cards (contact details) on tags. E.g. just save .vcf file from MS Outlook, and write the data in file to tag.

Nokia 6212 classic is a classically designed and durable handset featuring NFC technology, a 2 megapixel camera, and a 3G connection.
Built-in NFC technology allows to use the phone for e.g. payment, ticketing and sharing content. 3G makes internet connection faster, and NFC "touch to browse" type features can be used to make browsing easier. Multi operating frequency phone can be used globally (WCDMA 850/2100, GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900).
For application and solution developers Nokia offers Series 40 Nokia 6212 NFC SDK for Java MIDlet development. The phone uses Java specification requirement 257 (JSR 257) for third-party NFC applications.

Nokia 6131 NFC is the world's first mobile phone with fully integrated NFC reader/writer device. NFC mobile phone can be used e.g. for payment and ticketing. NFC also makes the access to Internet services easier. This phone can be used globally thanks to it's four cellular frequency bands.
For solution developers Nokia offes Nokia 6131 NFC SDK package for Java MIDlet development. Nokia 6131 NFC uses Java specification requirement 257 (JSR 257) for third-party NFC applications. "JSR-257 Contactless Communication API" documentation, emulator and jar library for MIDlet development are available free of charge.
The NFC phone models before were couple of Nokia's standard phones with special rear shell. The shell included the RFId/NFC reader/writer device. Nokia 3220 with NFC shell allowed the use of Trikker-1k tags (Mifare Standard 1k) and it was also used for some public transport pilots. The first commercial RFId/NFC enabled model was Nokia 5140 with Field Force RFId shell. It was later updated to Nokia 5140i with more sohisticated Internet connection features. This model is still in use in some field force reporting solutions.

Reader module can be integrated as part of solution of device. There are available several variations of NFC reader modules. Depending the model these can read and write one or several types of NFC compatible tags. A NFC reader module can also communicate with other NFC devices wireless.
